Copenhagen, Denmark How to describe Mikkeller? It's tough. Our best effort is a collection of brewers, breweries, Michelen starred chefs, entrepreneurs, runners, festival people, designers, an amazing illustrator, an ex-Army major, and a man called Mikkel. The beer they release - be it gypsy brewed or from one of their own breweries is top class - but as a business they're the most inspiring thing to happen in beer since our Californian forefathers began in the late 70s and early 80s.
